Bushra Yousaf – Visual Artist

Bushra Yousaf is an Edmonton-based artist. She creates landscapes, portraits, and Arabic calligraphy, usually in oil paints, however she also works in sculpture, digital media, and photography. She is heavily inspired by her surroundings and specifically nature. Bushra is a prolific artist and enjoys a variety of subjects. Through the use of bold strokes, texture, and light, she strives to capture the mood and emotion of her environment.

Bushra studied fine arts at a Government Degree College for Women in Multan, Pakistan, and then started her Bachelor of Arts in Design at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan College of art. She also holds a web development diploma from Inno Tech College Edmonton.

She was the part of the 150 Canada project WHAT HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT US? and seven new voices. She is an active member of Carfac Alberta.

Bushra Traveled Extensively Across The World. Now Days Live In Edmonton Alberta Canada Exploring Across Canada. Her Lifelong Journey And Exploration As An Artist Have Created An Eclectic Mix Of Nature. Portrait, Landscape, Abstract, Night Scenes, Animals, And Black And White.

She Shares Her Solitude And Spirit, Bringing A New Perspective To Everyday Scenes. Ranging From Sculptures To Oil Paintings To Acrylic Paintings. Bushra Has Exposure And Experience In A Variety Of Areas Including Cement Work And Architectural Design.
